Talking about favorite movies is complex, but this time I
will talk about "The tale of the Princess Kaguya" by Japanese director Isao
Takahata. What I like a lot about this film is the animation with which it
casts, it is as if the whole film is going inside a watercolor, does not focus
on filling the image with information, let the blanks fill with the delicacy of
the stroke and that subtlety, in my opinion, makes it extremely pleasant and
wonderful.
Another aspect that this film has is the music, composed by Joe
Hisaishi, he manages to transfer the finesse of the stroke to the music and
makes a perfect complement. This composer also musicalizes another of my
favorite films, also of Japanese animation, "Howl's moving Castle" by
Hayao Miyazaki, and just to say that, in this film for me, the musical
composition is worthy of recognition because it is really wonderful and
mind-blowing. I highly recommend seeing and listening to your work.
